Infra Developer Visual Studio Plug-in
Customers who have purchased EMC's infraEnterprise product suite typically want to add customisations to the system. However, no integrated development environment exists for infraEnterprise developers.
As most of the technologies used are core Microsoft technologies, Alemba are developing a plug-in for visual Studio which will bring together all the tools necessary to customise infraEnterprise.
Javascript and HTML files can be opened as usual within Visual Studio but with Alemba's VS plug-in they can then be tagged from within Visual Studio. In addition, Infra Query files can be opened as a new type of file within Visual Studio and full syntax checking will be included. Connections can be made to SQL Server databases, values can be provided for parameters with the Infra query code and this will be translated into standard SQL and tested against the database.
One standard environment - Visual Studio - is all that Infra developers will need to carry out their Infra development.
